G7 Summit & Runway Construction – Travel Disruptions Expected

Dates to Note: June 15–17, 2025 (G7 Summit) + Ongoing Runway Construction (until December 2025)

As Calgary prepares to host the 2025 G7 Leaders’ Summit and YYC Calgary International Airport continues a major Runway Rehabilitation Project, all employees and travelers should be aware of potential flight delays and road access disruptions.

 

Flight Delays – Runway Construction

• The West Runway at YYC is closed through multiple phases of 2025.
• Flight schedules may be adjusted or delayed.
• Please check your flight status online for real-time updates.
• Flexible travel arrangements are strongly encouraged.

 

Plan Ahead

Allow extra travel time to reach the airport and use the 30-minute free short-term parking when picking up guests.

If you have travel planned during this period, please plan accordingly.
