Welcome Horizon North to Mount Logan lodge

Starting August 8, Horizon North will be the sole and exclusive lodge provider for Mount Logan Lodge.

Suncor sincerely thanks Mikisew Sodexo Limited Partnership (MSLP) for their dedicated service and significant contributions to the success of Fort Hills.

This change will have minimal impacts on our Suncor lodge team and lodging guests, as the service provided will remain consistent as the current offering with only minor changes. These include new service offerings such as menu items and products, recreation activities, and new programs. Day-to-day services such as housekeeping, janitorial and luggage services will be provided at the same standard of service.

Horizon North is excited to offer these new services:

  • New sandwich program
  • Pepsi and Starbucks products
  • Revamped ZEN grill
  • Restart to recreation programs  

The process to transition to Horizon North may take up to three (3) months to complete. Please be patient with our staff and Horizon North as we adjust.

As we support the Horizon North transition to our sites, our priority of safe and reliable operations remains unchanged.


Are the menu/ bag-up options changing?

Yes. You will see some changes to weekly menus and to bag-up options.

We will be shifting from a five-week menu to a six-week menu with seasonal changes and planned special occasion dinners and monthly theme night dinners will remain in place.

Vegetarian, gluten-free and reduced salt/sugar options are offered at every meal. With a variety of selection, there’s always something for every guest.

Horizon North food services will utilize existing formats to ensure guests are looked after with minimal disruption to their routine. Guest concerns such as dietary restrictions and/or allergies will remain a top priority. Proper signage and labels will be used to address these concerns.

What menu items can we expect to see?

The goal is to offer a holistic environment of food offerings that span traditional comfort offerings that will remind you of home. This includes healthy meals that will fuel your workday or your next workout.

New additional changes such as on-line/mobile ordering functionality for dining room and made-to-order items will be coming soon.

Will there be changes in guest rooms?

No. there will be no changes to any guest rooms.

Will there be any changes to housekeeping services?

No. there will be no changes to housekeeping or the housekeeping schedule.

Additional changes?

We are excited to bring you a new variety of specialty coffee products, such as Starbucks based, as well as new Pepsi based products.
