Update: WestJet Potential Strike

Travellers must confirm their current contact information is updated with Travel Services. This will ensure that if updated itineraries are required in the event of a potential WestJet strike, travellers will receive them in a timely manner.

Currently, our charter schedules are unchanged. Employees and contractors travelling to site should plan to arrive at their designated hub airport based on their travel itinerary.

In the event of a strike, plans are in place for WestJet to continue Suncor FIFO charter flights with minimal disruption. Flight times may vary slightly, but every effort will be made to stay as close as possible to the current schedule. Employees and contractors are expected to arrive at their designated hub airport based on their travel itinerary. Travellers must ensure appropriate personal contingency plans are in place to effectively travel to their designated hub.

Any updates or changes to FIFO charter flight schedules will continue to be posted on Sunlink.suncor.com and sent to travel coordinators.
