Edmonton airport security process change

Effective July 7, 2017, Suncor travellers will no longer be able to use the Fly-Thru line at the Edmonton International Airport (EIA) – they must use the regular CATSA security screening lines.

The cut-off to check in for a flight continues to be 45 minutes before flight departure time, and there is no change to Suncor restricted items pre-screening security for checked and carry-on baggage.

Suncor travellers at any airport may use the expedited CATSA line (where available) with their NEXUS card.

Overall increasing passenger volumes in domestic airport terminals and CATSA budgetary constraints are resulting in slightly longer wait times for CATSA security screening at all airports. We recommend that travellers arrive at the check-in counter 90 minutes before flight departure to ensure they have enough time to check in and complete the required airport CATSA security screening process.
