Upcoming Firebag Aerodrome repaving

Starting May 27, the Firebag Aerodrome will be temporarily closed for repaving for a minimum of two weeks, weather permitting. During this period, Suncor flights will operate from Albian Sands Aerodrome, and the Fort McMurray North and South terminals.

If you have a flight reservation between May 27 and June 11, you will receive a revised flight itinerary. Review your revised itinerary to ensure you arrive for your flight on time. The amended flight schedule is posted on the hompage. Revised bus schedules will also be available on this website and posted in lodges.

East Tank Farm (ETF) flights will operate as scheduled – there are no changes.

During the repaving period, kiosk check-in will not be available at Suncor hubs – please arrive at the airport early to check in for your flight with the agents.

The following change to process will be required for flights at the Albian Sands Aerodrome only:

You must remain on the plane until all baggage has been unloaded and placed in the baggage racks. Immediately after getting off the plane, collect your baggage and board your bus, which will be staged inside the aerodrome perimeter. Smoking is strictly prohibited in this area.Washrooms are available on the buses.
