Suncor Edmonton flights to operate from EIA - Aug. 14
Starting August 14, Suncor Edmonton flights will operate out of the Edmonton International Airport (EIA). Aviation security enhancements will be implemented at EIA and include:
- Pre-screening of checked baggage at check-in for Suncor restricted items.
- Full baggage and passenger screening and regular airport security checks as set out by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA).
- Suncor passengers departing from Edmonton must have a valid government-issued photo ID and their Suncor ID badge, or they will not be able to check-in to their flight.
Details of the move are available at sunlink.suncor.com/security or by watching the video Edmonton International Airport – Suncor Passenger Check-in and Security Process
Update Sept 11. 2015:
Thanks to the cooperation of Suncor travellers, the implementation of Suncor’s aviation security enhancement has been smooth. It is your support that helps ensure safe and secure travel for all workers.
To clarify the process of travelling with medication, all prescription and non-prescription medication must be kept in their original containers and clearly labelled as to their contents. In the case of prescription medication, the passenger’s name must be on the container or the passenger must present proof of prescription, as per Suncor’s Medication Standard (CO-S23).
We understand that travelling with medication may be required. Passengers will help expedite the screening process by adhering to the Medication Standard and Suncor’s Alcohol and Drug Policy (CO-104).
