Travel Precautions - Coronavirus

Travellers are advised to continue to follow existing preventative measures that help prevent the spread of any virus. These include covering the mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve (not hands) when coughing or sneezing, washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds and carrying alcohol-based hand sanitizer for use when soap and water are not readily available. Suncor provides hand sanitizer at the Firebag Aerodrome and all lodge locations in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.

To ensure the cleanliness of WestJet aircraft, cabins receive a full groom and are cleaned and disinfected every 24 hours with products approved by Health Canada; this is normal course of business. The 737 and 787 aircraft are equipped with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters that achieve a viral and bacterial removal efficiency of greater than 99 per cent.
