Firebag on-site transportation change
Starting November 12, 2018, coach buses will provide on-site transportation, replacing the tractors and trams at Firebag.
This change is taking place as the tractors and trams are reaching end of life and need to be replaced. Coach buses were chosen as they were the safest and most comfortable option. Seatbelts are on all coach buses and must be worn by all passengers – this is mandatory in accordance to Alberta law.
Coaches are also equipped with air conditioning, heating, and plush seating for a more comfortable ride.
Golden Arrow will be providing the site coach service at Firebag. Diversified will continue to provide the Aerodrome/site service. Please be aware of which bus you are boarding. Refer to the sign on the front of the bus.
If you have large luggage, please allow others to board then notify the driver that you have luggage for the storage compartment.
Capacity for the coaches is 55 passengers. If a bus happens to fill up, the next one will not be far behind. There will be no changes to the current on-site schedules.
