Return to 50% Capacity - FH Ground Transportation

Suncor Fort Hills Ground Transportation services will return to 50% capacity to align with continued escalation of provincial and site protocols

  • Firebag Airport transportation will move to 50% capacity as of Monday, September 20th, 2021

  • Site Service will move to 50% capacity as of Friday, September 24th, 2021

With Rapid Antigen Screening for our Suncor sites, an increase in vaccinated workers, frequent hand sanitizing, constant masking, barriers between seats and increased cleaning protocols, Suncor’s risk assessment indicates that there is minimal risk on our transportation assets but out of an abundance of caution has chosen to reduce seat capacity.

To ensure we’re maintaining our transportation protocols including wearing a mask, passengers are asked to refrain from eating and drinking on buses and planes to avoid transmission and keep each other safe.

As a reminder, screening does not replace the requirement for self-assessments, hand washing, mask wearing, physical distancing, close contact tracing and laboratory-PCR diagnostic COVID-19 testing. We must not let our guard down.

  • There are no advisories in effect at this time.
