Mandatory temperature screening in airports
Effective Thursday, July 30th the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) will be conducting mandatory temperature screening, prior to entering security, for all passengers travelling on commercial and charter flights at Calgary (YYC), Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL) and Vancouver (YVR) airports.
Passengers with a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or higher will be asked to wait 10 minutes and re-test. Passengers with a temperature reading which continues to exceed the 38 degrees Celsius threshold will be subject to a no-fly order from any Canadian airport for a period of 14 days.
Calgary Airport Only: Saturday, August 1st, pre-check-in temperature screening specific to Suncor charter passengers will no longer be required.
Passengers must comply with mandatory CATSA temperature screening and pre-boarding symptom screening questions from the airline. Failure to comply will result in denied boarding and 14 day no-fly order.
Edmonton and Saskatoon: There is no change to current pre-check-in temperature screening programs for Suncor charters in Edmonton (YEG) or Saskatoon (YXE) at this time. CATSA will be implementing mandatory temperature screening in these locations no later than September 30th.
Suncor will continue to advise travellers on evolving processes as details are confirmed by Transport Canada.
We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
