Return to work
Suncor has begun the remobilization process of its employees to support the staged restart of its operations. The evacuation order has been lifted by the Regional Emergency Operations Centre. We will continue to work with the province and RMWB to monitor the fire, air quality and services in the region for a safe remobilization. You will be contacted by your leader with a return to work date.
Travel to Base Plant
For travel to Base Plant, please follow the instruction of your leader, and refer to the following:
- Travelling and staying with Suncor - infographic
- Lodge Consent Forms (read and sign before submitting to front desk upon arrival)
- Bus schedules
- Flight schedules
- Personal belonging retrieval and re-entry to Fort McMurray
Please note: Base Plant accommodations are not available without a reservation
We want to make sure we safely remobilize our workforce, this includes having the appropriate lodge accommodations in place at Base Plant.
If your leader has not asked you to return to work, please do not come to site. Suncor will not be able to provide accommodations if you have not been asked to return to work.
If you have a lodge reservation, do not arrive earlier than the date on your travel itinerary as Suncor will not be able to provide accommodations. If you have any questions about a return to work date, please talk to your leader.
